About Anke

I’m Anke Weber. I paint in acrylic, watercolour, and gouache, and I’m endlessly curious about new media and techniques. I live on the beautiful West Coast of Canada, where I love to be out and about with my camera. Sometimes my photos are the inspiration for a painting; sometimes they stand on their own, and sometimes they are simply for fun. After finishing my master’s in computer science, I worked in software development, marketing, and as a website designer and content creator. I enjoy combining words with images to create illustrated stories, often rich in detail and colour.
