A man is walking home with scrunched shoulders on a mediterranean-coloured street filled with flowers, hanging laundry in bright colours, a cat in a doorway and a kid with a soccer ball.

Each fall, the Sidney (Canada, BC) Camera Club sponsors a competition for their members. From the member-submitted photographs, the Camera Club votes for the top ten qualifiers which are then presented to Saanich Peninsula Art Club (SPAC) members who, in turn, vote for one winning image. SPAC members use the winning photo as inspiration to create their own interpretation of the subject in their chosen medium: painting, pottery, woodworks, fabric, glass, etc.
