There’s No Place Like Home

I showed my watercolour, A Splash of Seals, 8×10 in on paper in the exhibit called There’s No Place Like Home where members of the Saanich Peninsula Arts and Crafts Society (SPAC) displayed their interpretations of Vancouver Island. It was on display until November 30, 2025 at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney, BC.

The painting is inspired by my photo of a group of seals, which I took at Race Rocks Ecological Reserve, when we visited by boat. Right from the start, I imagined the seals in a rainbow of colours. I’ve also painted a card sized version in 5×7, which sold at the SPAC Spring Art Show 2025.
